Online Quran Ijazah Program (Hafs an Asim)
An Ijazah is a certification that you recite the Quran correctly, granted by a teacher who received it from his own teachers in an unbroken chain (sanad) reaching back to the Prophet (peace be upon him). Our online Ijazah program is in the narration of Hafs an Asim.
Our teachers explain everything in English (or French), so you do not need to speak Arabic to start.
How you earn the Ijazah
- Assessment: the teacher checks your memorization and Tajweed in a free trial lesson.
- Preparation: any recurring mistakes are corrected before the full recitation begins.
- Full recitation: you recite the entire Quran to the licensed teacher, lesson by lesson.
- Certificate: once your recitation is complete and accurate, you receive your Ijazah.
Cost
The Ijazah fee is $100, paid once only, when you receive the Ijazah. Regular recitation lessons are billed like other Quran classes. See all prices.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be a Hafiz?
The teacher assesses your level in the trial and explains the right path for you to reach the Ijazah.
Is the Ijazah done online valid?
What matters is that you recite the whole Quran accurately to a teacher who holds a sanad. The lessons are live, so the teacher hears your full recitation exactly as in person.
