Online Quran Classes in the UK — Live 1:1 Lessons

Published 2026-10-14 · 2 min read

Around 3.9 million Muslims live in England and Wales, according to the 2021 Census, and many families face the same problem: the local mosque class is full, runs at a fixed time, or teaches thirty children at once. Quran Web Academy offers live one-to-one online Quran classes for families across the UK, so your child (or you) has a teacher’s full attention for the whole lesson.

Our teachers explain everything in English (or French), so you do not need to speak Arabic to start.

Lessons that fit the UK school week

Most of our UK students study after school on weekdays or on Saturday and Sunday mornings, instead of, or alongside, weekend madrasah. You choose the days and times when you book the free trial, and the schedule is agreed in UK time (GMT in winter, BST in summer), so the clock change in March and October does not move your lessons.

Teachers are available 24 hours a day, so you can pick any time that suits you, early morning, late evening or weekends.

  • After-school slots for children, short enough not to clash with homework.
  • Evening and weekend slots for working adults and university students.
  • Ramadan and summer holidays: many families add extra lessons when school is out.

What you can study

Price in pounds

Quran, Tajweed and Arabic classes explained in English start from $40 a month (about £30) for two 30-minute lessons a week. If you prefer lessons taught in Arabic, Quran classes start from $25. Prices are set in US dollars, so the amount in pounds moves slightly with the exchange rate. See the full price list.

Questions from UK parents

Can online lessons replace weekend madrasah?

For reading and Tajweed, a one-to-one lesson usually moves faster than a large class, because the teacher corrects every word. Some families keep madrasah for the community and use our lessons for focused recitation and memorization.

My child does not speak Arabic. Is that a problem?

No. Most of our students in the UK do not speak Arabic at home. Reading the Quran starts with the letters, and the teacher builds up step by step.
